Our Environmental Funding Manager is WWF-New Zealand, which is part of a global conservation network. WWF gives out out donations on our behalf to local organisations within our Caring for our Environment & Preserving Biodiversity Programme Area.
There are two parts to this fund: The Environment Education Action Fund and The Habitat Protection Fund. The amount they give ranges from $500 to $15,000.
The Environmental Education Action Fund
This nationwide fund aims to promote and support environmental action through education in New Zealand schools and community groups.
The Habitat Protection Fund
The Habitat Protection Fund is for not-for-profit community conservation groups in New Zealand involved in hands-on ecological restoration or conservation.
The purpose of this fund is to encourage and promote the conservation of New Zealand’s natural environment. Funding is provided for local habitat protection groups working to protect significant conservation areas in their community.
