Join Philanthropy New Zealand at the Philanthropy Summit 2015: Understanding the 21st Century Donor
A one-day event for community organisations
University of Auckland, 17 April 2015

This one-day event, organised by Philanthropy New Zealand (PNZ), provides those working in the not-for-profit sector with a unique opportunity to hear about the changing philanthropic landscape, and what they might need to do to adapt to these changes. Participants will also be able to take part in face-to-face meetings with some of New Zealand’s leading grantmakers in a world café setting. The event will feature several of the keynote speakers from PNZ’s biennial conference for grantmakers and funders, the Philanthropy Summit 2015: The Power of Strategic Giving, being held in Auckland on 15 & 16 April. They include leading US philanthropic advisor Peter Hero and US grantmaking expert Mae Hong.
The purpose of the day is to provide delegates with an understanding of the 21stcentury donor along with insights into what this means for the New Zealand not-for-profit community. New Zealand speakers include experienced grantmakers such as Jennifer Gill and Kate Frykberg and our own Kate Tindall, as well as those who provide support to the not-for-profit sector such as Kate McKegg and Jo Garner. They will lead workshops and panel discussions on subjects ranging from what constitutes effective philanthropy to measuring impact and how to run a successful social enterprise. This one-day conference is the final event of the week-long Philanthropy Summit 2015, being held at the University of Auckland in April 2015.
