Brainwave Trust Aotearoa made a submission to the Health Select Committee’s Inquiry into preventing child abuse and improving children’s health outcomes in May 2012 in response to the first term of reference for the enquiry “to update knowledge of what factors influence best childhood outcomes from before conception to 3 years, and what are significant barriers regarding the impact of early experience on a child’s brain development”.
