Yesterday we welcomed Genevieve Northey to our team. She joins us from Foundation North (Formally ASB Community Trust) where she has been working in the Foundation’s Grants Team for the past four years.

Genevieve’s colleagues and friends from Foundation North, Kaumatua Kevin Prime and her family, joined The Tindall Foundation team at our office for a Mihi Whakatau, an opportunity to formally welcome her into our team. Her mother, Anne, handed her over to the care of The Tindall Foundation.

Genevieve has taken up the position of Donations and Systems Advisor joining Dave Richards and Martina O’Driscoll in our Donations Team. Her experience at Foundation North, where she advised community organisations about funding information, and assisted applicants in making grant applications, will hold her in excellent stead for her new role at The Tindall Foundation.

Originally from Warkworth, Genevieve studied geography at Otago University before moving to Perth to pursue post-graduate studies in regional development. In Perth she also undertook administration work in the education sector before leaving for eight months travelling through central Asia.

Genevieve enjoys speaking with people and learning about their projects and work in the community and has a keen interest in community development.

“I’m very happy and excited to join The Tindall Foundation. I am looking forward to learning more about how the Foundation contributes to the communities of New Zealand.”

The Manager of The Tindall Foundation, John McCarthy said he was delighted to welcome Genevieve to the team. “Genevieve brings great understanding and experience of philanthropy to our Foundation and I’m sure she will slot into the team here very quickly and smoothly. We’re really looking forward to her contributing to our on-going work with the organisations and communities we support.”
