As the Foundation began to define its long-term focus, it supported early initiatives that combined social impact with economic opportunity. One of the first was the Methodist Employment Generation Fund, which provided loan capital to small businesses that created jobs for rangatahi and those excluded from traditional finance. This marked the beginning of TTF’s commitment to employment and enterprise as a pathway to stronger, more resilient communities.
