Twenty Five Auckland businesses have joined the Youth Employer Pledge and there are many more in the process of signing up. Watch this video to hear what our founder, Sir Stephen Tindall, has to say about how important young people are for businesses; how they bring vitality, fresh ideas and diversity to the workplace.

The Youth Employer Pledge is a key initiative in Auckland’s Youth Employment Plan, which exists to get more of Auckland’s young talent into work and career pathways. Many employers already have youth employment programmes in place; the Youth Employer Pledge celebrates and builds on these initiatives.

Each Employer Pledge partnership has opened up jobs, interviews, apprenticeships, and work experience opportunities for young people. So far, 53 jobs have been offered, eight apprenticeships, 32 work placements and 40 graduate opportunities.
“By signing the pledge, you’re going to enhance your business and help young people. It’s going to make your business young at heart,” says Stephen Tindall
