The New Zealand Housing Foundation (NZHF) has received widespread media coverage over the last month, promoting the new affordable housing development in Weymouth, South Auckland, which the Foundation is developing along with the Tamaki Collective, Auckland and Onehunga Hostels Endowment Trust and CORT Community Housing.

For the past 10 years, NZHF has been building affordable, sustainable housing for people on lower incomes.  As part of the new development at Waimahia Inlet, 282 affordable houses are planned to be built within the next three years. The houses will help low income families, who would normally be unable to afford to purchase a home of their own, in to brand new, high-quality, well designed, warm, heathly homes. Around 1000 people will live in the area once the development is complete. House prices range from $322,000 to $495,000.  To read more and view media coverage on Campbell Live, NZ Herald and Stuff for more information.
