Through a collaborative project, Community Energy NetworkBeacon Pathway & The Enviroschools Foundation have developed the first of its kind in NZ, Home Performance Advisor (HPA) certification.

This training programme takes participants through a 1 & 3 day course and reflects the following core principles for providing advice to create warm, healthy homes. The course content is based on first principles, recognising the house as a system and adopting an assess, diagnose and recommendation structure to the delivery of home performance advice.

The training is ideal for anyone who advises clients on improving home performance, addressing issues such as energy efficiency, water use and waste reduction.  Certification is achieved by passing a series of assignments and exams, and requires commitment to the HPA Code of Conduct, as well as ongoing professional development. More information can be found here.
